iTunes Podcasts grow 10 Fold in just over a year. Let’s leverage the power.

When the iTunes Music Store (ITMS) indroduced podcasting last year it quickly provided more than 8,000 podcasters with a place to tell their stories. Today I checked the iTunes Music Store and counted the total number of podcast. The number has grown 10 fold to 82,978. Below are some charts and a short SCREENCAST telling what I saw today.

POSTSCRIPT

I put this data out to point out just how strong we are as a podcasting community (listeners and podcasters). I love Apple but we need to leverage these numbers IFApple looks to take over the term podcasting. There is no evidence (real evidence) that they are at this time. I am a very strong Apple adovacate but I’m even a stronger “Podcasting” advocate.” In case you hadn’t heard here is ZNET’s article on what is going on

  6. No you have to install it from the main drive if you are going to use it with Bootcamp. You can do it on a fast external drive to run with Parallels but I would not recommend it, it will be dog slow.
