Typical Mac User gets Newton
It’s Apple “Old-School” for me. Listener John from New York was nice enough to send me his entire Apple Newton set up as a gift. Thanks John. I’ll be blogging more about it after I figure the thing out, but it’s fun for a “pretty resent switcher” like me to see the Newton. I’ll
report more. If any of you have any neat Netwon sites, software or a way to make it work with wi-fi (I’m I dreaming), write a comment to tis post. I know what I’m doing this weekend now.
As a bonus I got some old school Apple stickers and Netwon stickers. How awesome is that ?

Dear Victor,
had to leave a naote that your conversation with Adam on the Maccast about the history of Mac was wonderful, one of the best reasons podcasts were invented.
continued success,

You lucky, lukcy Bastard.
Does this mean you don’t want me to bring me eMate with me later in the year? I was going to ask.
I am still missing a couple of models from my collection, alas.

Victor … head over to Google USENET archive and search on “NewtNews” … you can read all the old newsletters that I did.
I have a ton of Newton stickers. Do you want to try to give them away?
I don’t think there was any WiFi solutions for the Newton … there was some Packet Data solutions and you can use some Ethernet cards.

Hi Victor,
I’ve recently come across your podcast and have been enjoying catching up on past episodes. I listened intently to the show about the fellow from “MakeMeSwitch” and thought, My GOD, what the heck is this guy doing and WHY on Earth are you encouraging people to donate?! It was a dead giveaway that it was a scam. And why wasn’t he happy with just a plain 17″ iMac?
Following up on this story, I see now my first impressions were correct and you should apologize to your listeners. Victor, you have a great podcast, but please act like you got some sense!!!!
