Paul dished up an appetizer to the  beginning of his coverage of something that came in what he called “the box”. In this short 3:41 podcast he gives us all a taste of what’s to come. Subscribe , because you won’t want to miss any part of this meal.

I’m connected even in Vegas via EVDO

Today at the high recommendation of Tom While (Trucker Tom) I got a SPRINT EVDO card . I use to have a Verizon EVDO and enjoyed it, but my satisfaction with Verizon was very low.

I got the Ovation U720 which is a USB EVDO modem card. Setting it up for a Mac was not very easy but I was able toget it done while at the Sprint Store.

As you can see pretty nice speed. We will see how it works in other places.

Motorola taking on what?

by: Matt Beckwith, Associate Editor

Is this someone’s idea of a joke? The ABC News website ran a story titled, “Motorola Takes a Cut at iPhone“.

How will Motorola take a cut at the iPhone? With a new RAZR, that’s how!

We finally got to see what “wickedly cool” is.

It’s now going to be “sleeker and sexier”. Curiosity got the better of me and I went to Motorola’s website to check out this new RAZR. The funny thing is that it looks a lot like the RAZR I have sitting next to me… the one that turns itself off and on again if I close it too quickly or too hard. The other thing I noticed was that the RAZR seems to be way more phone than screen. Upon closer inspection I couldn’t help but also notice that it had buttons!

Buttons?!? On a phone that will compete with the iPhone? Right!

So what am I planning to do with my RAZR once I get an iPhone? Well, I have something in mind.
