You’ve said several time in various podcasts that your are taking more and more pics using RAW image format. I recently purchased a new camera (Panasonic Limux FZ50). I specifically chose this camera for i ability to take pics in RAW. After my first time use of the camera I connected it to Macbook Pro and iPhoto kicked in and prompted me to copy the pics over. However, I was surprised to see that I received several error messages about how the files could not be read. It seems that iPhoto does not recognize the format. Is this truly the case or am I simply doing something wrong. If it can’t read RAW what inexpensive program should I use?

DonQ I have been able to bring in and edit RAW(NEF)from my Nikon no problem so I don’t know what it could be. Never the less. Try Graphic Converterhttp://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/263. It is very powerful. You can try it for free and buy it for $30 bucks. I talk about it next week on the podcast but try it now and let me know. If any others reading this have suggestions for DonQ, let’s hear’m here.

OK I will look into this product. By the way I found this entry at a website:
http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00Hu1F
Which basically states that iPhoto does not support the FZ50 use of RAW. Why I’m really not sure. I wonder if any of your TMUP listeners happen to have a complete list of what cameras iPhoto does / does not support. I’m sure someone may ask this question again for a different camera.
As always- Muchas Gracias Por Toda La Ayuda!!
