Can you make the live show tonight?

Folks as I have mentioned before a good part of my payment from Talkshoe.com comes from live shows because they pay more for live listeners then the show I do on Wed in the studio. I like to be honest about these things always. So if you can make the time to drop by the show tonight at 5PM Pacific, 7 Central, and 8PM Eastern, I’d appreciate it. It’s very fun to participate and listen live.

Tonight Adam Ramier from MadTown Aces productions will co-host with me. He is a voice over talent, contributing editor to Pod-cast and Blogger Magazine as well as a switcher. It should be a good show mostly because you guys too can be a part of it.

I’m far from 100%, but I’ll be there. Talk to you then.

Where’s Victor?

If you come by the page often you will recognize that I haven’t posted or even been on line since Tuesday night.

I have been very very ill in the last 4 days and I’m getting treatment and hope to be well by Sunday when Adam Ramier from MadTown Aces will be my co-host.

Until then it’s rest and recovery for me.

Thanks and sorry if I’m later than usual on e-mails and voice mails. This one has taken a toll on me.

Keep subscribed

Askville is my “Pick of the day”

I rarely get on the ground floor of anything, usually because I’m not “hip” enough. Today however I got an e-mail from Amazon asking me to visit Askville.

According to Amazon:

Askville is a friendly gathering place where you can ask questions on any topic and ‘get real answers from real people’. It’s a fun place to meet others with similar interests, share your knowledge, or just enjoy reading questions and answers submitted by others. It’s new, it’s fun, and it’s free!

The site is very simple and broken up into three sections “New Questions”, “Featured Answers”, “Active Discussions.” Of course you have a “friends” section and much more. Sounds like an interesting mash-up of a couple of already tried ideas. They also have a blog to provide more information.

I’m going to give it a try and see what I think. Wanna join me?… oh sorry I should ask that over at Askville.

Also thanks to Steve Stanger from The Mac Attack podcast who pointed out that is does not work with Safari. Come on Amazon you know better than that.

A little Afternoon Sax

For those of you who may not know, in my former life (1990’s) I played sax professionally (yes while doing the day job).

When Mary and I bought a house I sold my Selmer soprano sax and have not had one since. Today I found a great deal on this E. M. Winston Soprano and got it ( it was a steal believe me). Wow! it’s nice to have a Soprano again. Sorry this is not Mac, but this Typical Mac User’s life goes beyond Mac releated. Here is a sample of my music as well (Well the music of Joe Cristina (my musical partner ) and me.

The group was called Simpatico, and the CD was called “Resolve.” No it’s not in production anymore. Enjoy.

If you got this song as a podcast sorry. My Wordpress was suppose to surpress it. Oh well enjoy anway, it’s free music.

Plaxo Beta is my “Pick of the day”

Today I feature Plaxo Beta which I originally heard about through Kreg Steppe of the Valid Syntax podcast and Syndle.com blog . I always have a need to keep my address book, calendar and more in sync between two or more computers, and available to me wherever I am. Plaxo Beta is my current solution and I encourage all of you to check it out. It works flawlessly on my Mac, and it’s even social in that as your friends who use Plaxo move or change jobs (or just get a new phone), your address book will get updated - automatically. Nice!
