Icon View- CMD+1

List View- CMD+2

Column View- CMD+3

Coverflow- CMD+4

Show View Options CMD+J

Arranging Icons
Arrange Icons By-

Name- CTRL+CMD+1

Date Modified- CTRL+CMD+2

Date Created- CTRL+CMD+3

Size- CTRL+CMD+4

Kind- CTRL+CMD+5

Label- CTRL+CMD+6

Desktop is the same as a Finder Window, so all these tricks will work.

woohoo I’ve just loaded Leopard and I can start on the right foot and use the key board (I’ve bought a new thin one cooool) like I should be.
As Ken would say Victor “You Rock” or should I say Areito or Salsa ?

Victor, you said you can view the Desktop just as another Finder windows. However, I don’t seem able to get a list view, nor a column view, just an icon view.

Is it possible to change the view of the Desktop from the standard icon view into another view, as you can in a Finder window?

I did not know of the Command clicking on icons in the top bar to see the folder structure for files and in other apps!
