Pick of the Day: Macworld Conference & Expo 2008
My pick for today is the Macworld Conference & Expo. By the way it was pointed out to me that its’ not MacWorld but Macworld Conference & Expo.
I’m so excited that going into my third year as a switcher mac user, I am going to attend the premier conference for innovation and how my life as a Macgeek will change in 2008. The Macworld Conference & Expo offers an extensive list of conference sessions that are meant to teach, energize and help you grow as a user of Apple products.
In 2008 the Macworld Conference & Expo is Jan 14-18, 2008. As always it will be held in San Francisco at the West and South Halls of the Moscone Center.
With over 400 exhibitors from the Apple community, extensive sessions on all things Mac, I’m sure I will encounter things I did not expect ,and come home with new insights to share with all of you.
I hope to be able to get a press pass so that I can interview some of the exhibitors, and people who add so much to the mac community. If you haven’t signed up and want to attend register today and come say hello to me.
Of course Macworld Conference & Expo is about “The Keynote.” However, it’s also about the community and how we are all part of it.

Victor, you can call yourself anything you want, but most people will not see you as a switcher anymore, after a couple of years of being a Mac user. IMO your a Mac user, not a Mac switcher.
I also think, the podcast isn’t really for switchers anymore, because you have left your “switcherhood” behind you. Of course, the show is still for the typical Mac user, because you want to appeal to as broad a Mac user audience as possible, even to a cranky old Mac user as me.

Agreed and corrected in the post Rene. Good points.

I have put MacWorld on my list of things “to do”. I’ve only been a Mac user since June, but I already know this is something I want to experience. Of course, I will have to convince my wife and kids that going to this conference is not a danger sign that I have totally lost it. So, for now, I know that I will have the joy of enjoying the experience through your eyes. I can’t wait for your reports.

…P.S. — While you may have passed beyond “switcher”, your show is still very relevant to those of use that can still see the Windows world, and we rely on your perspective as a former Windows user.

Well Mark, I have to say I can barely spell PC anymore so it’s getting harder and harder to talk about that. The other day someone wrote me a PC question and I had to refer it to a PC podcaster. I just did not know. I suppose that’s a success.
