Giving Flock a try for the rest of the year
Let me start off saying that I love Firefox . I try other browsers and eventually end up going back to it. After installing Leopard I have noticed my friend Firefox seems to be crashing more and just generally acting up.
I installed Flock web browser on Saturday and decided to take through the paces during my vacation. So far it seems very intuative and very media and content focused. I will let you know more in January. Why don’t’ you join me and give it a try for two weeks too?

But please tell me, what exactly is wrong with Safari? I’m a switcher also, and I do use FF on Windows at work, but I really like Safari when I’m on my Mac.

Nothing, Safari is a great browser, it just never made me go ohhhh how wonderful. I have always used FF. I tried Safari as a browser for 2 week and went back. However there is nothing wrong with it and it’s “privacy” features are really good.

I tried Flock and didn’t like it. The UI is just too crowded with all of the media stuff, sharing, social network links etc. I guess its great if you are into those services but if you want a clean and efficient experance stick with FF.
Besides flock is based on an older FF codebase and can therefore (in theory of course) will never out do the daddy!
cheers

Jason good points. I’m by no means a Social Web giant, but on day 3 of using Flock it has still been more stable than the latest FF for me. I love FF and I just wish it was a bit more stable. flock is based on older code base but for whatever reason it seems more stable as of today.
Again that could change. Good points
