Replacement of a MacPro Logic Board (Pictures)

Had my MacPro repaired. They did as an “home service” under Apple Care. I was able to take some pictures. Thought some of you may want to see what the inside of a stripped MacPro looks like. All is well now and I’m back to 100%. Intersting that all that work had to be done to replace one (1) 1/8 Line In jack.

I also took a small about of low-res video footage. I’ll put that up soon too.

Phil this was an Apple certified person and it took hime almost 2.5 hours. Not an easy job for sure. I’d imagine the replacement board is about 1200 bucks US.rnrnI have no idea where to buy one in Europe. i’d have it done by an Apple certified dealer there if I were you.

hi Victor: How would you rate the AppleCare home service? Any chance you can share your experience on an upcoming podcast?

It still amazes me how much spare room you get inside a computer box, well done Victor. You are no “Typical user”, but then I’d do the same so maybe you are.! :-)

Interesting that they seem to like you taking pics. Were they from Apple or an AASP?
