Victor, I can't believe that you think that iClip is the best “multiple” clipboard program for the Mac. I found that program to be way to complicated for me to use and I'm a programmer and very tech savvy user. Oh sure, I could use it, but I would never suggest a program like iClip to my parents who are by no means tech savvy.
I just found and purchased the program “Savvy Clipboard” by BlitzClick Software (http://blitzclicksoft.com/). It's very simple to use but still quite powerful. I found out about it via MacZOT.com.
Give it a peek if you haven't already seen it. I think you might just agree with me.

My favorite program for copy/paste is iPaste only $12.99. You can hear my review on Victor's show “TMUP 108: I Ain’t no Jive Turkey” You can find out more info at http://www.iggsoftware.com/ipaste/
Its great for saving things that you paste all the time like snipets of code & graphics.

Hey Victor, regarding the caller Hudson who said that the Seagate Freeagent 500 GB HD will not work with Time machine. I have two Seagate Freeagents ( 320 GB & 500 GB ) and I have had absolutely no issue using either for TimeMachine backups. The only thing I can think of that may have given him an issue is the formatting of the external drive. The Freeagent drives come formatted for Windows with a folder containing Seagate software that supposedly will format the drive to OS X for you. I say supposedly because I've never tried that software. I just go into Disk Utility and re-format the drive as OS X Journaled from there. If Hudson just plugged the HD into his Mac expecting it to work, it will not due to it being in NTFS format. I know this gets confusing because, as some of us know, Macs can read NTFS but cannot write to them. Some might think that since they can “see” the Mac folder on the HD as soon as the drive is connected they are “good to go” but no. Hudson commented that he had talked to Seagate and that they couldn't help him … but we all know how customer support sometimes is. If, on the other hand, the Seagate software was used to prepare the drive for the mac, this also might have caused an issue … it may not have done the job properly. So, if anyone wants to get a Seagate external to use with Time machine, know that it will indeed work … just use Disk Utility to prepare it first.

Dolphbucs your comment here.
Thanks for your suggestion and just wanted to let you know that I used Mac OS Journal and a GUID partition for my Intel Mac. I am not sure why mine does not work and yours does except that I am not alone.

After re-reading my comment, I came off sounding a little pompous. I sure didn't mean to make it sound like your choice of iClip made you a bad person or anything like that.
I purchased iClip way back and had it running for quite sometime after I purchased it. I just found that I never used it due to the UI issues.
I just found iClip's UI to be way over the top for what it did and because of that, it was very hard to determine what was in each of the clipping. Savvy Clipboard is very straightforward in it's presentation. I now use it quite frequently, even when programming.
One bad think I have noticed about the clipboard in general when using TextExpander, since TextExpander uses the clipboard to do it's thing, I find that the multiple clipboard entries in Savvy Clipboard are duplicated due to use of TextExpander. It almost makes using multiple clipboard programs useless. That's really a shame. I wonder if it would be prudent to suggest a change to TextExpander so that it doesn't continue to have this side effect? Hmm…

Good point and no you did not sound pompous. This is all about a discussion and each one of us has different needs. That's how we all find some common ground.
