Ecamm for an alternative to iSight
Cutting off macman at about 9 minutes into the show was highly rude.. and victor you do stuff like that a lot and its anoying let other people talk and dont cut em off, thats kinda the point of the show right?

Andrew thanks for your commnets. I have a responsibility to keep the show moving, I had 4 to 5 people with their hands raised in the room ready to talk. Macman gets a lot of time on the show and I don't belive he was offended at all. So althought I respect your right to give your opinion at the end of the day I have a responsibilit to everyone who is listeing live or later to keep the show interesting and moving. I reserve all editorial rights on the show. Thank you.

I just finished listening to the podcast of show 72. No one really spoke to the most fundamental and often overlooked question. That is “What will you be using the computer for?” Once the uses are listed, they can be prioritized or at a minimum a list of what is critical need vs a want. From here you can look at the software needed to accomplish the tasks you identified previously.
After all this is done, then you can look at the hardware needed to run the software.
The path to selecting a computer is Needs > Software > Hardware
