Finally Podcasting explained in Plain English
The folks over at CommonCraft have done another incredible video called Podcasting In Plain English. These guys always rock but this is the simplest explanation of podcasting I’ve seen. This is the link to send all your friends and tell them about CommonCraft as well. Great job guys. Here is the embedded video courtesy of CommonCraft.

This in an email from Victor! “You hear a lot of music on my show and it's all 100% royalty and copyright free …”
Podcasters: you can't just use music from your library in your Podcasts. If you do, those “suits” just might show up and haul you off to the financial equivalent of Guantanamo. Do as Victor does, and be sure any music you blend into your casts is not protected by ASCAP, BMI, etc. You DON'T want those guys knocking on your door, that is, unless you've paid the license fees . . . and that sure would be expensive

Agreed. I use all royalty free music and I pay for the right to use it. It is NOT original artists. I agree any podcaster needs to be super careful about using copyrighted music in their shows Don't do it.
