EXTRA Show: Eye-Fi extended FIT review

Filed under: Podcasts — Victor Cajiao @ 11:00 pm

George Starcher and I did a show for Friends In Tech where we did an extended talk about the Eye-Fi SD Card. The Eye-Fi is a 802.11G wireless memory card. It lets you upload your photos to your computer and even sharing sites like Flickr straight from your camera as you take photos.

This is extra content and since many of you likely do not subscribe to the FIT feed (You should) , George and I decided to share it with you.

      Victor,

As a long time listener, I believe you are doing the right thing, we all love the live shows, but if it starts to cost you money rather than earn it then I can totally understand the need to drop the live aspect.

      Hope all works out

I would be great if they would add RAW support. I sent them a question asking when and if this will be an option. It may be slower than shooting tethered using usb but it would be great for still photography anyway. Thanks Victor.

      Edit: here's Eye-Fi's response:
      Jim,

We appreciate your interest in the Eye-Fi Card. At this time, we are not in a position to disclose future development plans, but I will be happy to forward your suggestion for RAW transfers onto my engineers.
