I really enjoyed your video segment victor!

Like many people I have experienced challenges was the new Mobile me service. Losing over 1100+ messages from my inbox. Of course I have followed everybody's advice and done backups :-). Time machine paid for itself handsomely as I was able to recover my lost mail using that (although it replaces that into a different folder in your side panel) that's a minor inconvenience.

My heart nearly stopped when I saw the mail application window go completely blank, and then when I went online the Mobile me service unfortunately also showed a completely blank area!

I think Apple need to seriously think about up scaling their infrastructure? What is your opinion on this?

I think Apple needs to really push their presence outside of the continental United States (the because in New Zealand I think like many other countries I don't their marketing efforts need to be much stronger; although I think they do reasonably well in this region

Totally agree with all points. Apple needs to build their infrastructure to handle the scale they are creating with products like iPhone. It will be key to their profit and credibility in the future. Also I think that the 3G being more Global is a step in the right direction.

Again Apple is big but they are growing. Growing pains can be ok, if you learn from them. We will all see.

Here's my reply to your request about what we think is next from Apple: Posted on your blog.

    Hi Victor,

    Hazelrigg here;-)

Here are 3 items that I think are great clues for what is coming next from Apple.

ONE: Apple next OS (Snow Leopard) has no new features. It's just going to be a streamlined, more stable version of the OS. Wow that's nice but why do we really need this as a separate OS? Why isn't this just coming to Leopard users in a dot update? Or is this new OS designed for a new type of computer?

TWO: Apple recently acquired a company so they can develop their own processor/semi-conductors. Why does Apple need this company when Intel has such a great line up of multi-core processor coming in the next few months?

THREE: Apple said they expect lower profits in the next quarter do to a product "transition". They also talked about products their competitors can't "touch" (Openhimer added with a chuckle)

So are these all linked? Maybe...

Yes I think Apple will have a new and very cool line up of Laptops in the next 2 weeks, all with a similar look and feel as the MacBook Air. But I don't consider that a product "transition" that would lower profits. Unless they start adding in Solid-State Drives at no extra charge...but I wouldn't hold my breath. Moreover, I wouldn't be surprised to see a MacBook/Wireless deal with AT&T. That could certainly explain the "free WIFI" at Starbucks rumors. Still it's not something that people would put off their Apple buying purchases because of. I think that all of the above would increase sales and profits in the next quarter.

SO I'm more likely to think Apple is about to announce something entirely new or a much more drastic change to one of their product lines. In the fall I think Apple will change the entire line up of iPods to have "touch". But that again would increase sales.

I think Apple is more likely to release a living room Media-Center/computer. Hear me out and try to envision this. A 40" 50" and/or 60" big screen iMac that replaces your TV. Full featured computer for you living room, with a built-in AppleTV, DVR, Cable connection.

This would shatter the TV market. It would also deliver everything AppleTV promised us and MUCH MUCH more.

TV is the mountain Apple really wants to concur. Don't let Steve kid you about his hobbies. Apple has to beat the other players into the living room. That's where everyone is headed. And only Apple has everything in place to blow everyone out of the water. The Apple iTunes store is the bomb, and when Apple drop it onto a TV the world will be a new place.

Thanks for the comments and I agree with many of them. Believe it or not I talked to Veronica Belmont about a "real" Apple TV back in December of 2007. She thought I was nuts http://www.veronicabelmont.com/2007/12/typical-...
