Asus eeePC and OS X…How I did it

If you follow me on twitter then you know that recently I bought an Asus eeePc 1000H with Windows XP. I wanted to buy this machine because I don’t think Apple will be building a net-book in the next six to nine months in my opinion.

I also wanted to have a small from factor notebook to play with and to use as an experimental platform to try different distributions like Windows, Linux and even the OSX86 platform that I know existed. I also did not want to spend much more than $500 U.S.

So I got the computer and really like it a lot. As I started to read more about installing operating systems on this computer, a listener and tweeter friend; @eclipseempire, gave me advice that he had one of these and had put OSX86 on it without a problem. He then got together with me and did all the heavy lifting of making this a reality for me. The credit goes to him as he had done all the research on how to do this.

Here is a post on his website eclipseempire.com that describes links to how to go about doing this in detail.

Thanks to Greg (eclipseempire,) for helping me, and providing this great article.
