Awesome episode, Victor and Steve. While I don't have an Intel Mac just yet (still on my iMac G5 for OS X use), I am eager to give it a go once it's out. I'd like to move the Intel iMacs I have at the school I work for over to Snow Leopard probably some time next year (if the budget improves).

Thanks for the show Victor! I just just switched to an iMac from an old Dell PC last month and I'm loving my new Mac. After hearing your show I just went online to the Apple Store and ordered my Snow Leopard update via the Mac OSX Up To Date Program (www.apple.com/macosx/update) for even a better price than you mentioned - $9.95. You have to have purchased a new mac after June 8th to get the price.
I can't wait until it arrives in September!
P.S.
The is a problem with link on the update page. For US online customers, it makes you sign in and takes you to an empty cart. Use the following link to get to the qualifying form to enter your model, serial and store. For the store field I just entered "Online Apple Store" with my home city and state.
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObject...
(from www.macfixit.com article)

So i don't have my iTunes library in an external drive but I believe you are correct that if you make (or have) the copy of the iTunes folder that has the xml files then you should be able to replace it. I would do a google search on this and see how others did it from Tiger to Leopard. Perhaps others will read this and chime in.

Great show! I'm eagerly awaiting the upgrade to Snow Leopard for both my MacBook and my iMac.

I really like doing the full install and wiping the old one out. I have one question... how can I do this without messing up my iTunes library. The media is all stored on an external drive that I'll make sure is backed up before the upgrade. Can I just make a copy of the iTunes folder on the main drive (with the xml file) and replace it after the upgrade? Or do I need to do something different? Thanks!
