TMUP-Screencast-003: Get Rid of that Bounce

Filed under: TMUP Screencasts — Administrator @ 3:35 pm

Today I cover how to get rid of the annoying “Bouncing” icons in the dock.

As I learn this stuff I’m beginning to understand I need to put out several versions of the file. The only file that should download in iTunes is the Apple TV size. I don’t know how to get multiple media files into worpress and get RSS to validate. I do have ipod and itunes files of this available here

—————————————————-

Update 10PM Monday. I got a few emails stating that the version that came down on the feed did not work on Apple TV. I don’t know what happened but I have re-encoded it and tried it on my Apple TV and now it seems to work. It had worked before too, but I guess I must use the mov and not m4v  format for the Apple TV. The version I am putting on the RSS feed is the Apple TV version because it is very high quality and can be seen on your computer, your Apple TV or on the browser as well. I’m doing this on purpose. You can get iPod or iPhone versions here

Some folks are wondering about separate feeds etc. Guys I have to be honest here, I am very new at this Video stuff and I’m not trying to use all of you as Guinea Pigs. I am a “Typical Mac User” and if I don’t experiment with some real content I won’t learn and then I wont’ be able to put up any content.

So please be patient as I learn this stuff and get into a groove. I will learn it! I’m tenacious for sure. Maybe I will end up with a separate feed for the screencasts and videocasts, maybe I won’t. I have gotten good feedback on the content and that you like it. I know I can’t please everyone, so I won’t try.

So I’ll keep doing my thing and if the video content or screencasts become to much of a burden I’ll take a different path. It’s not meant to disturb or bug anyone. It’s meant to provide learning and growth for me and for all of you.
